Ad Age Covers Competition 2019
For 2019's Ad Age Young Creatives Cover Competition, the brief is to: "Create an image that communicates the truthful representation of beauty in advertising and creativity."
To define the true inclusiveness of beauty in women, 2 ideas were explored in the submissions:
— A cheerful lady looking at herself through an app's 'beauty' filter, except that all the filter selections have one thing in common: There is #nofilter. If everyone stopped using this feature on social media, the world would have a more realistic perception of beauty. Start realising the fact that no filters in this world can define your true beauty.
— The cover of the magazine is printed on a transparent plastic, printed with make-up to illustrate the notion of not judging a 'book' by its cover, prompting readers to question beauty's surface value in society.
